This is the (Original) 1st of 3 simultaneous albums recorded that later got deconstructed/reinvented on the following 2 albums. Modern Lover has more of a pop phil with a theme of how relationships are definitely way different than what was probably imagined as a kid and even differ in reality from how they were 50, 100, and even 1,000 years ago. We're in a throw it away kind of state and I wanted to reflect on that and hopefully change it.
